Broadcast Benefits
How does this work?Whatever information you receive will be from the flyers
created by each tournament director. When you sign up - you will get an email approximately 2 to 4 weeks prior to
the scheduled event (tournament or shootout being posted). If an Adobe Acrobat File has been made available - then
you will have access to that as well.
What will I get in my email box?You will ONLY get information about racquetball
via the e-mail address you enter - no jokes, no junk mail, no spam, just racquetball information only.
What's the difference between Shootouts and Tournaments?Shootouts are one day
events typically held on a Saturday and are not usually USAR Sanctioned Events. Tournaments are typically run Friday - Sunday
and are usually USAR Sanctioned Events.
What's the difference between Camps and Clinics?
Clinics are typically one hour to one day sessions of racquetball instruction with an attendance up to 10 adults
and/or Juniors (Juniors are 18 and under). Some clinics contain themes, e.g., Ladies Day, Tune-ups for Major Events,
Advanced Players only, Juniors only, etc. Some clinics cost money and some are free, depending upon who is running it,
where, and what is going to be covered during that clinic. Racquetball State Associations, Various Facilities, and
Individuals offer clinics.
Camps are typically 1, 2, or 3 - 5 days of racquetball instruction where you build a relationship with the coach(es)
for adults and/or Juniors. Fran Davis' and Jason Mannino's "Building Your Racquetball Dream House" has an array of
camps, Basic Instruction, Advanced Instruction, and Doubles. Another National Instructor, Jim Winterton, holds a
variety of camps as well. He also hosts the Elite Training Camp for USA Racquetball*.
* Both Fran and Jim hold clinics and teach groups as well as private and semi-private lessons.
